Ingredients

Scale

For the Cake:

  • 1 package Oreos (about 1618 cookies), crushed
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 package vanilla instant pudding mix (3.4 oz)
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 (8 oz) container whipped topping (like Cool Whip), thawed
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, softened

For Garnish (Optional):

  • Extra Oreo crumbs
  • Gummy worms (for a fun touch, optional)

Instructions

1. Prepare the Oreo Crust:

  • In a food processor or using a Ziploc bag and rolling pin, crush the Oreos into fine crumbs.
  • Reserve about 1 cup of the crumbs for garnish.
  • Mix the remaining crumbs with melted butter and press the mixture into the bottom of a 9×13-inch baking dish to form the crust. Set aside.

2. Make the Pudding Layer:

  • In a medium mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth.
  • In another bowl, prepare the vanilla pudding according to package instructions, using the milk.
  • Gently fold the whipped topping into the pudding mixture, then combine with the cream cheese mixture. Stir until smooth and well combined.

3. Assemble the Dirt Cake:

  • Spread the pudding mixture evenly over the Oreo crust.
  • Sprinkle the reserved Oreo crumbs on top, pressing gently into the pudding layer.
  • Optionally, add gummy worms on top to make it look like “dirt.”

4. Chill:

  • Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight to allow the flavors to set and meld.

5. Serve:

  • Scoop out servings and enjoy the creamy, crunchy layers of this fun and indulgent Oreo Dirt Cake!
