Description

This Pumpkin Crisp is a deliciously warm and comforting dessert that features a creamy spiced pumpkin filling with a crunchy, buttery oat topping. Perfect for fall gatherings or anytime you’re craving a cozy, sweet treat!

Ingredients

Scale
  • For the Pumpkin Filling:
    • 1 (15 oz) can pumpkin puree
    • 1 cup granulated sugar
    • 1 cup evaporated milk
    • 3 large eggs
    • 2 teaspoons pumpkin pie spice
    • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
    • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • For the Crisp Topping:
    • 1 cup all-purpose flour
    • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
    • 1 cup old-fashioned rolled oats
    • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
    • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
    • 1/2 cup chopped pecans (optional)

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  • In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the pumpkin puree, granulated sugar, evaporated milk, eggs, pumpkin pie spice, vanilla extract, and salt until smooth and well combined.
  • Pour the pumpkin filling into the prepared baking dish.
  • In a separate bowl, mix the flour, brown sugar, oats, and cinnamon. Add the melted butter and stir until the mixture becomes crumbly. Fold in the chopped pecans if using.
  • Evenly sprinkle the crisp topping over the pumpkin filling.
  • Bake for 45-50 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown and the filling is set.
  • Let the pumpkin crisp cool for about 15 minutes before serving. Enjoy it warm, and optionally top with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream.

Notes

  • You can substitute pumpkin pie spice with a mix of cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, and cloves if you don’t have a pre-made blend.
  • Add chopped pecans or walnuts to the topping for a little extra crunch and flavor.
  • This dessert pairs wonderfully with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a dollop of whipped cream for an extra touch of indulgence.
