Description

Cruffins are a delightful fusion of croissants and muffins, creating a beautifully flaky pastry with a buttery, golden exterior. These easy-to-make cruffins are made with pre-made puff pastry, rolled and baked in muffin tins, perfect for a quick breakfast or a special treat!

 


Ingredients

  • 2 sheets of puff pastry, thawed
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon (optional)
  • Powdered sugar (for dusting, optional)

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a muffin tin.
  • Roll out the puff pastry sheets on a lightly floured surface to smooth them. Brush each sheet with melted butter.
  • Sprinkle sugar and cinnamon (if using) evenly over the buttered pastry.
  • Roll each puff pastry sheet tightly into a log and slice the log into 6 equal pieces (12 pieces in total).
  • Take each piece and place it into the muffin tin, swirl-side up. Gently press them into the molds.
  • Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the cruffins are golden brown and puffed up.
  • Remove from the oven and allow them to cool slightly before dusting with powdered sugar, if desired.
  • Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

  • You can fill the cruffins with your favorite filling like Nutella, jam, or pastry cream before baking for extra flavor.
  • Use store-bought puff pastry to make the process faster and easier, but you can also make homemade pastry for an authentic croissant texture.
