Description

  • 2 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 1 ½ cups rolled oats
  • 1 cup milk (dairy or non-dairy)
  • 1 large egg
  • ¼ cup maple syrup or honey
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon cinnamon
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ⅓ cup chocolate chips (plus extra for topping)
  • ¼ cup chopped nuts (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven:
    Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease an 8×8-inch baking dish or line it with parchment paper.

  2. Mix Ingredients:
    In a large bowl, whisk together the mashed bananas, milk, egg, maple syrup, and vanilla extract until well combined.

  3. Add Dry Ingredients:
    Stir in the oats, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt until fully mixed.

  4. Fold in Chocolate Chips & Nuts:
    Gently fold in the chocolate chips and nuts (if using).

  5. Bake:
    Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish and spread evenly. Sprinkle extra chocolate chips on top.
    Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until set and golden brown.

  6. Cool & Serve:
    Let cool for a few minutes before slicing. Enjoy warm as is, or serve with a splash of milk or a drizzle of maple syrup!

Notes

  • For a sweeter taste, add an extra drizzle of honey or maple syrup after baking.
